A wine cooler works best when installed in the right place and cared for regularly. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your model: ventilation and maintenance requirements vary between appliances.
Leave room for ventilation
Before installation, check whether the appliance is designed for freestanding, under-counter or built-in column installation. Respect the ventilation clearances specified in the manual and do not cover the air intake or outlet grilles. A freestanding wine cooler with rear ventilation must not be placed in an enclosed recess without the clearances required by the manufacturer.
Consider the ambient temperature
Install the wine cooler away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Check the climate class and the model's permitted ambient temperature range. If the space is too hot or cold, the appliance may struggle to maintain the set temperature.
Clean the interior and check the components
Switch off the appliance before cleaning and use a soft cloth and a product suitable for the interior surfaces. Clean the door seals and check that the door closes correctly. If the model has a charcoal filter, replace it at the intervals specified by the manufacturer. Do not use abrasive products or direct water towards electrical components.
Monitor operation
Avoid opening the door too frequently and arrange bottles without blocking air circulation. If you notice excessive condensation, unusual noise or difficulty reaching the chosen temperature, consult the manual and contact technical support. A timely check helps protect the appliance and your collection.
